Easy MC Cable Pulling
To pull MC or BX cable across ceiling "t" bars with ease try this. Cut length of 3/4" EMT to span ceiling tile opening by a few inches.Tape or ty-wrap the EMT to the top of the "T" bar. Install cable and pull across the conduit to it's destination without snagging or possible damage to the cable.

How To make a Conduit Reducer
If you are in a bind and need a threaded reducer, you can make a 3/4 to 1" with a 3/4 coupling. Screw the coupling onto a threaded peice of pipe. Using a 1" die thread the coupling completely  and cut to aprox.5/8. This also works with larger sized couplings and pipe as well as with 1/2" to 3/4". You can use this method to make a union also. 

Drive Ground Rod with Ease
Place a fender washer with a larger diameter than your rod at the tip.  As you drive the rod the washer will create a larger hole which reduces friction on the sides of the ground-rod making it easier to drive.

Dust Collection
To catch dust that is created when drilling or sawing into plaster or drywall, masking tape a paper bag to the wall directly beneath where you are going to be working. Just pull the bag from the wall when you are done. Easy cleanup!

Stripped Phillips head screws?
Use your hacksaw to cut a new groove for a standard blade style screwdriver.

Tape measure retracting too slow?
Grab you car wax and wax the entire length of the blade to make the gliding in and out easier. Make sure that both sides of the tape are waxed. Preventative cleaning every few months will keep you unit operating trouble free for years.

Can't Loosen A Screw?
This easy trick that always works! Just heat up the tip of your screwdriver and try again. It will come loose everytime!

Cool off PVC in Seconds 
After heating PVC and making your desired bend rub the area with PVC glue.  The pipe will cool in seconds.
